Joel Madden has joked he is packing "bootie shorts and tube tops" for his trip to Australia.
The Good Charlotte rocker and his twin brother Benji are supporting country singer Keith Urban for their first tour as The Madden Brothers.
The warm climate in the country has caused Nicole Richie's husband to consider which items of clothing he might need.
"Packing for my trip back down to Australia. Looks like i better bring bootie shorts and a tube top (sic)," he quipped on Twitter.
Joel and Keith struck up a friendship while they were mentors on the Australian version of The Voice.
For the 33-year-old rocker, the opportunity to perform on the same stage as the musician is a dream come true.
"Pretty Cool The Madden Brothers first tour is supporting @KeithUrban Still can't believe we get to do this. Dream Catchin on tha daily (sic)," he gushed to his followers.
This will be the first time the siblings tour as their own band, with the support of a brand new backing ensemble.
In preparation, Joel and Benji have been practising hard.
"Looking Forward to getting back to Oz to play these gigs with @KeithUrban We've been rehearsing all week, it's gonna be good times 4 tha fam (sic)," he posted.
The boys will perform brand new tracks as well as Good Charlotte classics.
Good Charlotte have been on a hiatus since 2011 but announced last year they would tour Australia in 2013.
