The Good Charlotte rocker can't wait for his fiancee – with who he has children Harlow, two, and 11-month-old Sparrow– to return to work on US action comedy series 'Chuck' because it brings out her "crazy streak".
He said: "I loved her on the last one – I went by and saw her when she was filming that and it looked really cool. She gets to do all these fight scenes and shoot guns, and she really likes it.
"I don't worry about her safety – she's got a little crazy streak in her. She'll be fine… It's sexy."
In addition to reprising her role as a CIA operative on 'Chuck', Nicole has also been kept busy with the latest addition to her household – a stray cat she named Tabitha.
Though the 29-year-old beauty adores the animal – which she posted a picture of on her twitter page recently – Joel, 31, is not so keen.
He told US TV show 'Access Hollywood: "It's funny that she posted that on the Internet. I was like, 'Great. The cat is here to stay,' because if it's not, I look like a jerk that got rid of the poor cat.
"The cat stares me down everyday. When I was leaving to come here the thing stares and hisses at me, and I'm like, 'I didn't even say anything to you!"
