John Legend: I'm well aware Chrissy will need a push present!

John Legend is dreaming up a big gift for his wife Chrissy Teigen - but it has nothing to do with Christmas.

The 36-year-old singer and his wife recently announced they are expecting their first child together, after the 30-year-old model admitted she and John had struggled to conceive for months, and now the All of Me crooner is saving up for the ultimate 'push present'.

While the couple has yet to reveal their baby's due date, the child is expected to arrive in early in 2016, and John is already contemplating which gift he should buy his spouse after she gives birth.

"I've heard about the push present, I'm well aware!" John laughed during an interview with U.S. television show Extra on Wednesday (09Dec15).

Since announcing the pregnancy news, Chrissy and John have been photographed looking blissfully happy out and about, with the model-turned-TV personality showing off her growing bump with pride.

Cravings: Recipes for What You Want to Eat author Chrissy has also been documenting the pregnancy on her various social media networks, previously admitting she was struggling with morning sickness.

One aspect of expecting that Chrissy has yet to experience, however, is cravings.

"It's funny, her book is called Cravings, and we titled it that before we knew we were pregnant," John added "Nothing exotic like pickles and this and that, no weird cravings."

John's chatted to Extra on the red carpet before the Stars by Stella Artois Give Beautifully event in New York City, for which he wrote new track Under the Stars, a mellow lullaby which features natural sounds.

"I didn't even know that stars made noises but scientists were able to record actual vibrations of the stars and make them into a real audio recording," John told Billboard magazine. "The idea of doing a duet with one really inspired me to do something cool but I wrote the song Under The Stars, and Stella and I are giving it to the world as part of their Give Beautifully campaign."
