John Legend: 'My pregnant wife looks gorgeous all the time'

Singer John Legend is proud of how well wife Chrissy Teigen is handling her pregnancy, insisting she looks gorgeous "all the time".

The 37-year-old and the model announced they were to become first-time parents in October (15), and they have since confirmed they are expecting a little girl.

Model Chrissy, 30, is documenting her growing baby bump on social media, and shared a picture on Snapchat on Tuesday (12Jan16), revealing her belly is now bigger than her butt, and John admits there's been a lot of changes for both of them to get used to.

"You can't hide it after a while!" he told People magazine regarding her bump. "A lot of times, it's tough because you're getting used to a different size. For her, it's something to get used to when you've never had that experience before, but I think she's handling it really well. I think she looks gorgeous all the time."

The couple will welcome its daughter in the spring, giving John plenty of time to baby-proof their home in time for her arrival.

"We're getting our house ready and trying to make sure we have everything set up so that we can go into that transition smoothly," he added. "I'm at that age where everybody is having kids. We get lots of good advice."

John can't wait to become a doting dad and he is already thinking about what he wants to teach his daughter as she grows up.
"You just want to do the right things," he explained. "You want to teach the children how to be good people, how to be intelligent and aware and kind and all those things. Everything else will work itself out if you give them the tools that they need to be successful. They'll go to good schools and they'll have influences around, we know that, but you just want them to be good people and contribute good things to the world."
