Record-breaking multi-platinum selling mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins has announced a series of Christmas Shows and will be accompanied by The National Symphony Orchestra & will be conducted by Anthony Inglis.
Katherine will be performing songs from her new album due for release later this year and other festive favourites including Hark the Herald and Deck the Halls.
Katherine Jenkins is the world's most prolific classical crossover artist. Since launching her career in 2004, the Welsh star has sold in excess of seven million albums. Her stratospheric rise has made Katherine the fastest selling mezzo soprano ever. Having released eight studio albums, she has won various BRIT awards and broken countless records with her albums going platinum around the world.
Best known from her unique interpretations of popular songs, operatic arias and hymns, Katherine, from the tiny village of Neath in the Welsh Valleys, is also known for her long standing work with the British Forces Foundation, for which she is a trustee, that has led to her being referred to as the Forces Sweetheart.
An internationally recognised figure, Katherine at the age of only 32, has become an ambassador and inspiration for millions of people around the world. When she was still only 23, Katherine signed what was said to be the biggest ever UK classical recording deal and was soon outselling such operatic giants as Kiri te Kanawa and Angela Gheorghiu.
Katherine is currently in the studio recording her new album due for release later this year and will embark on her Christmas tour this December:
