Katherine Jenkins broke down in tears during a stage performance little more than a week after splitting from her fiancé.
The Welsh classical singer and television presenter Gethin Jones mutually decided to end their four-year relationship at the end of December.
Katherine kicked off her tour in the UK over the weekend, and found herself overcome with emotion as she performed her first song of the night.
The heartbroken songstress was comforted by her orchestra's conductor Anthony Inglis, who handed the star a handkerchief following her emotional display.
"Glad I could come to the aid with a hanky. Needed one myself," he tweeted on Sunday after the show.
Despite being emotional, Katherine received two standing ovations at the New Theatre in Oxford.
She looked stunning in a glamorous floor-length white gown, with her ring finger noticeably bare.
Katherine and Gethin confirmed the December break-up on their personal Twitter pages. The couple had been together for four years. Gethin proposed to the 31-year-old star last January.
Just a few weeks ago, Katherine had discussed starting a family with her beau.
"I'd like to have a family of my own - slip away for a bit and do nothing but spend those early years with my children," she said in a recent interview.
"I'd like to think I can come back, but I believe children are a gift and I want to enjoy them some time in the next few years. Gethin does too."
Both parties were obviously saddened by their split, with Katherine revealing she felt "beyond broken hearted" after announcing the break-up.
