The classical singer plans to marry the TV presenter next year, according to The Mail On Sunday, after accepting his proposal last month.
A source told the newspaper: 'Gethin proposed last month. It was a wonderful start to the year for both of them. Katherine is so happy and can't wait to start planning her wedding ... They are both very happy and in love and their friends and family are equally delighted for them.'
A rep for Jenkins, who met Jones when she was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, confirmed the engagement of the Welsh couple.
