The popular opera singer is famed for her stunning looks, long blonde tresses and glamorous style, however she insists she wants to be known for her music and not her looks.
The gorgeous star has revealed she finds it upsetting when critics say she only catapulted to fame based on the way she looks.
' would never ever call myself beautiful. I've always loved glamour and I've tried to use that in a positive way with my music. Sometimes people say I got this far because of that image and I find that an irritation ' I only ever wanted it to be about my music,' she told a British newspaper.
Katherine also revealed that she had to learn to embrace her natural curvaceous figure.
The 30-year-old, who is currently mentoring pop stars to become opera singers on a British TV programme, admitted it took her a while to feel comfortable in her own skin.
' always thought thinner was better and it took me a while to accept that was never going to be me. I think you grow into your figure and you learn to appreciate what you've got,' she said. ''m 100 per cent more secure in my own skin now than I ever was when I started out. Now I love my curves.'
