A sold out music festival is a feat in itself; but to sell out in just 10 minutes is a feat the first ever iHeartRadio Music Festival can boast. The two-day concert, taking place in Las Vegas on Sept. 23 and 24, sold out within the first 10 minutes of being on sale to the general public this past Saturday (July 16).
The festival is the result of the official launch of the new iHeartRadio, Clear Channel's digital radio product.

The accomplishment undoubtedly owes its success to the huge amount of star power in its lineup. Gathering names from across the genres, the festival sees chart toppers in pop (Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas, Kelly Clarkson), rock (Coldplay, Steven Tyler, Jane's Addiction), R&B (Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, Jennifer Hudson) and country (Kenny Chesney, Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts) amongst others.
Hosted by Ryan Seacrest at the MGM Grand, the festival also promises "special performances from Usher and Sting" with more to still be announced to its already impressive lineup.
Live audio and video streams of the iHeartRadio Music Festival will be available online via mobile devices at its website as well on all of Clear Channel's radio station websites.
The new iHeartRadio product will combine more than 750 broadcast radio and digital-only stations from 150 cities along with the ability to create custom stations. But before the festival kicks off its official launch, music fans can still get a chance to be a part of the action by winning tickets to the festival through summer-long giveaway promotions.
