Laura Mvula returns to US for TV and headlining shows

Laura Mvula returns to the US this week with a slate of TV appearances and headlining shows over the next two weeks.

She'll appear on the Today Show on 9/4, on the Late Show with David Letterman on 9/6, Jimmy Kimmel Live! on 9/16, and The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson on 9/17. She'll also be headlining two shows in NYC this week (Music Hall of Williamsburg on 9/4 and Le Poisson Rouge on 9/5) followed by Philadelphia on 9/9, Chicago on 9/13 (her first show in the city), San Francisco on 9/15 and ending with a show at LA's El Rey Theater on 9/17.

Laura will return to the US for a run of dates with Iron & Wine in November, as well as a handful of headlining dates. A full list of confirmed tour dates is below.

It's been a busy year for the 27 year old Birmingham, UK-based singer-songwriter. After a slot on the main stage at Glasonbury, Laura also performed alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC's Urban Classic Proms, as well as to huge crowds at festivals across Europe this summer.

Her debut album Sing To The Moon is out now, and has met with fantastic critical praise both around the world and here in the US, with People Magazine heralding Mvula as one of their Best New Artists, SPIN calling Sing to the Moon one of the Best Albums of 2013 So Far, Pitchfork including on their list of their favorite Overlooked Records of 2013, Essence declaring Mvula One to Watch in 2013, and Vogue selecting her as one of their Artists of the Week.
