The funnyman sent a series of messages poking fun at jury duty - mocking a prosecutor’s Serbian accent, and saying he will rely on intuition and the Magic 8 Ball to determine guilt.
One of the first Tweets read: "defendant looks like a murderer. GUILTY. Waiting for opening remarks."
Moments later, Martin updated: "guy I thought was up for murder turns out to be defense attorney. I bet he murdered someone anyway."
Later, he Tweeted: "Defendant’s hair looking very Conan-y today. GUILTY."
But Martin’s publicist, Alan Nierob, later insisted it was just a joke.
He said: “He’s not serving jury duty, just tweeting as usual. It’s really great material, don’t you think?”
