Amy Adams strikes a pose in high-school yearbook

The actress, who these days is known for her flame-coloured locks, has long blonde hair in the photos, which were taken for her high-school yearbook in 1991, when she was 16.

Adams, now 37, was a student at Douglas County High School in Castle Rock, Colorado.

In the 1991 yearbook, she writes about one of her “pet peeves”.

“I absolutely hate it when teachers tell you what they want for an assignment and then after you get all done, they decide to change the assignment just enough, so that you have to re-do the whole thing,” she says.

The Fighter star, who regularly hits the red carpet in designer threads, also wrote in her yearbook that she “hates” shopping for clothes.

“The reason why I hate shopping is because you get these obnoxious sales ladies all over you and touching your hair,” she says.

Adams, who has an 18-month-old daughter with fiancé Darren Le Gallo, can next be seen on the big screen in new movie The Muppets, alongside Despicable Me star Jason Segel.

The film, which is released in the US this week, is slated to hit UK cinemas in February 2012.
