Big Sean And Mac Miller Collabo Years In The Making

Big Sean has been clocking in a ton of collaborations lately. Not only is he getting ready to drop Cruel Summer with his G.O.O.D. Music comrades, the Detroit MC has recently hit the studio with veterans Lil Wayne, E-40 and relative rap rookie Mac Miller.

Though Sean and Mac may seem like brand-new guys, their "Hundred Dollar Bill Skyscraper" track has been years in the making.

"Me and Mac Miller are great friends. He's somebody who's gonna have a long career, I personally think so. That's been my friend for years," Sean told of Mac while walking the red carpet for the 2012 BET Awards earlier this month in Los Angeles. "I've known him since he was like 16, since before we started blowing up, and that was our first time collabbing."

The super mellow song was released at the end of June and has become an underground favorite. The Drumma Boy-produced track, with his jazzy backdrop, provides the perfect sound bed for the "My Last" and "Blue Slide Park" MCs to trade their braggadocious bars. "True players what we is and true players don't dissolve," the two spit on the on the track's bridge.

With the song's first verse, Big Sean puts his net worth on display lyrically, spitting, "Bitch, I'm living like it's Monopoly/ I'm tryin' to dodge jail and I'm buyin' up the property/ Your wifey was down with monogamy, till she started massagin' me/ But you can't have a dollar ... blame it on the economy."

Mac keeps up with the rich-boy rhetoric when he delivers lyrics that conjure up mob-style shopping sprees in six-figure European sports cars. "Evolve into what Gotti was, iller than you thought you was/ Now we in Bugattis riding shotty when we're shoppin," he rhymes.

As of now, there is no telling whether the track will end up on any of Sean's upcoming projects. "It ain't nothin' too serious, just to throw out there, somethin' for the bloggers, for y'all to ride to, live to, smoke to, whatever you like to do," he said.
