David Hasselhoff flew his new girlfriend to Switzerland for their first date

The 58-year-old star met Welsh beauty Hayley Roberts in a hotel bar when he was in Cardiff for the 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions, and after hitting it off straight away, he paid for her to watch him perform in Europe.

Hayley said: "He called me and told me, 'I want to fly you out to Switzerland.' He met me at the airport and took me to his concert.

"I sat on the side of the stage watching him sing to 8,000 fans. It was crazy.

"As we drove to this amazing hotel in the mountains, it started snowing. We had the best time ever ' just the two of us in an outdoor pool with the snow falling all around us.

"It was so romantic. I thought, 'This guy is perfect.' I knew I was right to give him a chance."

While they had a wonderful time in Switzerland, Hayley, 31, has different tastes to her famous boyfriend, which has led to some of his romantic gestures going awry.

David explained in a joint interview with Britain's Hello! magazine: "In Switzerland, they kept this incredible restaurant open for me and she looked at the menu and said, 'There's nothing on here I can eat.'

"I had to drive her to McDonalds on the way back to the hotel."
