David Hasselhoff has been hospitalised.
The former 'Baywatch' actor was taken to Los Angeles' University of California Medical Center on Saturday (19.04.08) to have something removed from his eye.
He was due to be released last night (21.04.08). His publicist Judy Katz said: "He's fine, he had something removed." Although she refused to elaborate on what the foreign object was, she denied rumours he had checked into rehab.
In 2006, Hasselhoff – who was treated for alcoholism in October – had to have emergency surgery after slicing his hand open in a bizarre shaving accident.
The 55-year-old star severed a tendon in his hand and had to be rushed to hospital by ambulance. Judy Katz said at the time: "David had just finished working out in the gym at the hotel where he was staying. He was getting ready to shave and bent down but when he stood up David hit his head on a glass shelf and it shattered. "Some of the glass got into his hand and cut it quite badly."
