David Hasselhoff mowed lawns in life swap TV show

The Knight Rider star traded places with David Hasselhoff Jr, a power technician and landscaper from Texas in the first episode of Same Name on US television.

After handing David Jr the keys to his house and his various fancy cars, the millionaire celebrity squeezed into the family’s SUV along with their newborn baby to go to their simple house.

“I imagine the Hoff’s life is going to be easy,” said David Jr.

And it certainly began in style, with the 27-year-old drinking champagne on the jet as he was flown to Los Angeles and then taken to the Hoff’s multi-million dollar mansion.

Meanwhile, the Hoff was awoken before 6am to be fed a pop tart before heading out for work in a hurry. He spent the day helping with the family's landscaping service, mowing lawns, cleaning oil from machines and pushing a pick-up stuck on muddy ground.

After a long day, he had to wake up to feed the family’s three-month-old baby in the middle of the night.

In California, David Jr had a breakfast fit for a king before taking the Hoff’s dogs for pet massages, followed by a grooming session, various meetings with agents and managers, a fan club night and a meal at the actor’s favourite Japanese restaurant.
