Hasselhoff, 58, is currently judging the show across the UK along with Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre.
He reportedly had a few spiritual words to say to some of the performers who were nervous about taking to the stage.
He said: 'Breathe in God - and breathe out a smile.'
One member of the audience told UK newspaper The Sun: 'The Hoff was being very strange as he kept name-dropping God all the time.
'He seemed convinced that channelling God would help people and kept repeating it like a mantra. A lot of the people he was saying it to seemed pretty baffled by it and wondered whether it was some kind of holy order.
'Still, it seemed to work wonders on some of the wannabes who became more relaxed. It was certainly very odd but he made people laugh, as he has such a presence.'
