John Legend's timeless love song 'All Of Me' has spent an incredible 18 weeks in the UK Top Ten this year, and now after a year of phenomenal popularity, has hit the million mark.
The single, released on Columbia Records in the UK, reached the landmark last week, having been downloaded 804,500 times and been streamed over 21.1 million times since release (equivalent to 211,082 downloads), according to Official Charts Company data.
The combined sales performance of 1,015,582 makes 'All Of Me' Legend's most popular single to date in the UK where it has Platinum Single status already. It is the first single to reach the million sales mark since the Official Single Chart rules changed its criteria to include audio streams in July of this year.* It is also the third biggest selling single in the UK this year.
The achievement is the latest in a string of accolades for John Legend. His fourth album 'Love In The Future' stormed into America's Billboard Charts at number four, and has sold half a million copies to date in the US. Its lead single 'All Of Me' has won him a whole new legion of fans and hit number one in nine countries including the Australia and the US, where it was his first American number 1. In The UK it reached No.2 on the chart, his highest ever placing in the UK.
Columbia UK MD Mark Terry says: "John is an incredible artist who operates in a league of his own. All of Me is another career defining song for him which has been on the UK chart for nearly a year, and we are proud to have built it into such a huge hit. His UK tour in October gives us great further opportunity with the Love In The Future album."
