The pair, who has three-year-old twins Max and Emme, announced their plans to divorce earlier this month. Marc has apparently taken on the £16,000 a month mansion so that he can still be a hands-on dad.
'Marc has leased a fancy mansion 2 doors away,' a source told the Daily Star. 'He wanted to be close to their kids.'
And it is believed to have been Anthony's response to J-Lo's request to end their seven-year marriage that hammered the final nail in the coffin.
When he told her he would 'move on as quickly as possible', a source said, 'All she could say was, 'well, good luck to you both'. It was the moment she knew their relationship had died.
'She told me afterwards, 'I realised at that point that he was never the love of my life'.'
