Singer Marc Anthony would have been a stay-at-home dad if he had the ability to turn back time.
The Latin hitmaker is father to five children, including eight-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.
And, in a new interview with U.S. news programme CBS Sunday Morning, Anthony revealed he suffers from remorse over how being such a huge star has impacted his family life.
"The one regret would be that what I chose to do took so much of my time," the 47-year-old musician told interviewer Tracy Smith. "What I would have done to have been a stay-at-home dad, and, you know, witnessed every second of everything. I would have loved that. Didn't work out that way. So it's the one thing that just tugs at me... and that's the biggest sacrifice. And you sort of... start to wonder was it all worth it? Was it worth it? You know, on that level."
The Vivir Mi Vida singer has been involved in the music industry for decades - since the release of his first album, When the Night Is Over, in 1991, he has delivered a total of 11 albums to fans.
Meanwhile, Anthony's former partner Lopez has also recently divulged some confessions of her own regarding her failed marriage to the star.
During an interview with W magazine, the 46-year-old First Love singer admitted she had continued to work on fixing their union, even though she knew early on there were major issues that would be difficult to resolve.
"I hung in there for seven years," she said. "I knew very quickly that it wasn't the right thing."
Anthony and Lopez separated in 2011 and their divorce was finalised in 2014.
