Coca-Cola, Presenting Partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, has today revealed that performances by chart-topping boy band The Wanted, singer-songwriter Loick Essien and rock five piece Morning Parade will lead the celebrations at a live, free-ticketed event in Cannon Hill Park on 30th June as Birmingham plays host to a Special City Celebration along the route of this summer's London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay.
Tickets for the free event are available via an online ballot, http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/coca-colacelebrations, which has been open since 27th February. The ballot will close at 10pm on Wednesday 11th April. As the longest continuous sponsor of the Olympic Movement, Coca-Cola is encouraging everyone to makes sure they don't miss the deadline and register for free tickets to the event at Cannon Hill Park, so they can come along to celebrate their local Future Flames and participate in the magic of the Olympic Games.
The live event in Birmingham is one of four Special City Celebrations to feature leading musicians, with further large-scale, free-ticketed concerts confirmed in Cardiff on 25th May, Glasgow on 8th June and Leeds on 24th June. A finale concert will be held in London's Hyde Park on 26th July - the day before the Opening Ceremony – headlined by Dizzee Rascal, and featuring The Wanted, a special performance by Mark Ronson & Katy B, Eliza Doolittle, You Me At Six, Rizzle Kicks, Wretch 32, Morning Parade, Loick Essien and Little Comets.
